Hungary

JRS Hungary was founded in 2015 with a project to support asylum seekers and refugees, with a special focus on unaccompanied children. At present, we focus primarily on services for people granted refugee status in Hungary by providing social services, education and housing support, with the involvement of about 30 volunteers per year. To counter negative perceptions about refugees, we organise public events at the Budapest Dialogue House and awareness raising activities for students to encourage society to be more sensitive to vulnerable groups.
