JRS Europe is organizing an event on the outcomes of the CHANGE project and the presentation of the U-CHANGE project.
The goal of CHANGE is to educate young people on the positive contributions of refugees to society through 3 main components: an educational course, encounters with forcibly displaced people and encouraging students to act to make a change in their schools and local communities. After more than 2 years of implementation and over 40.000 students engaged, it is time to reflect on the lessons learned and best practices of the project!
The event will take place on Wednesday 29th of June from 15.00 to 17.00 in the Grand Auditoire of the Museum of Natural Sciences (Rue Vautierstraat 29, 1000 Brussels).
Students, teachers and refugees will firstly share their personal experiences and insights of the CHANGE project. This will be complemented by academic findings of the U-CHANGE project on how students’ perception of migration have evolved throughout the project. A panel discussion on various educational initiatives and methodologies aiming to foster critical thinking, participation and empathy towards migration and refugees will be held.
