JRS Europe expresses its deep concern following the adoption of the EU Returns Regulation, which introduces measures that increase detention, externalisation, and coercion on people in already vulnerable situations.

We believe that migration policies should be rooted in humanity, justice, and respect for human dignity. Stronger societies are built by protecting rights, promoting inclusion, and ensuring that every person is treated with dignity.

JRS Europe remains committed to accompanying refugees and forcibly displaced people, regardless of their migration status or the stage of their migration case, and to advocating for policies based on solidarity, human rights, and social cohesion across Europe.
