JRS Europe Network Responds to the EPP Resolution on Europe’s Migration System

JRS Europe expresses serious concern about the European People’s Party (EPP) Resolution with the title “Restoring Trust in Europe’s Migration System”, which frames migration predominantly through the lenses of security, deterrence and public order. Together with 17 JRS Europe country offices, we reaffirm that trust cannot be restored by restricting access to asylum, weakening protection standards, or dehumanizing people through language. A fair migration system must be grounded in solidarity, human dignity, fundamental rights, and the rule of law.
