2024 World Day of Migrants and Refugees: God walks with His people

29 September 2024|JRS Europe

On the 110th World Day of Migrants and Refugees, Pope Francis invites us to take our most vulnerable brothers and sisters by hand and walk with them.

All of us are migrants on this earth. Migrants are a contemporary icon of this people on a journey, towards the “true homeland”.

“Let us unite in prayer for all those who have had to leave their land in search of dignified living conditions. May we journey together with them, be “synodal” together,” Pope Francis.

Watch the video in which Pope Francis asks all of us to walk with the most vulnerable, alongside Jesus:

Join us in walking Paths of Hospitality!

Inspired by Pope Francis message and following the call from GIAN Migrations group (of the Global Ignatian Advocacy Network), we have joined Social Sector of the Society of Jesus in Spain, the Jesuit Network with Migrants in Latin America and the Caribbean (RJM LAC) and its Campaign for Hospitality; and the International Federation of Fe y Alegría in walking Paths of Hospitality.

This initiative wants to generate a hopeful future for people seeking a dignified and peaceful future. Because Hope is the Path.
