Internship positions: Fundraising and Development / Finance and Administration

Brussels, 19 February 2020 – The JRS Europe office in Brussels is offering one internship in Fundraising and Development, and another one in Finance and Adminstration.

About JRS Europe

Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Europe is an international Catholic organisation. Its mission is to accompany, to serve and to advocate for refugees and forcibly displaced people. JRS Europe is the Regional Office for Europe based in Brussels. It shares this mission by engaging in policy and advocacy work, project management, fundraising, communications and coordination.

JRS Europe coordinates the activities of 23 JRS country offices and country-based projects. The team includes seven permanent staff members and volunteers.

Positions summary:

Finance and Adminstration

We are looking for a well organized student/graduate of Finance, accounting, adminstration, who has good English and MS office knowledge, and passive knowledge of French.

Under the supervision of the Finance and Adminstration coordinator, the intern will participate in andminstration and accounting tasks, management of invoices and bank statements, participating in accounting and monitoring hte budget, Classification of accounting documents, scanning, photocopies, and other adminstrative tasks.

Fundraising and Development

we are looking for a flexible and autonomous intern, who is good in numbers, loves writing, studying or a graduate of Management, Marketing, Business Development, Social Integration, Communication, Finance, Administration or a similar degree. Good command of English is needed.

Under the supervision of the Fundraising Coordinator, the intern will particiapte in writing grant funding applications, identify new donors and approach them with proposals, setup databses and other indoor/outdoor activities.

Towards the end of the internship, the intern will learn about and explore new funding possibilities, accompanying, serving and advocating for refugees and forced migrants’ safety and inclusion. Moreover, she/he will engage with new private and public donors that are responding with core support and to learn about innovative funding approaches to sustain the work with refugees and for solidarity projects.
