Annual General Meeting, Belgrade: the challenge of welcoming and protecting refugees in a ‘transit’ country

France: asylum at risk
Paris, 5 March 2018 - Less than two and a half years after the entry into force of the 2015 Asylum Reform Act, a new bill on asylum and immigration is being developed in France without any evaluation of the previous reforms. JRS France is extremely concerned about these developments and is working with other NGOs in the country to defend the rights of forced migrants.

JRS UK publish report revealing the reality of homelessness among refugees
London, 1 February 2018 - The report “Out in the Cold: Homelessness among destitute refugees in London" finds that most of the refugees attending the JRS UK Day Centre had slept rough at some point in the previous year, and one in five had been forced to spend more than a month on the streets.
